While many may prefer text then photo. A photo have many good quality's like show the truly beautiful state a place is in or the devastating state a place is in. Of course there are so writers
that use photo to mislead there target audience. Like in the 'photo essay' I chose it like looks a group of kids gathered around each other to take a class trip picture but when you read the author text is about the rights of child to have freedom of thought (wow), conscience and religion. Just think about your own child not having the right to think freely but for some this reality. Both the text and photo tell you that the children of 'Sudan' are being mislead to believe that there words have no power and are meaningless.
This one photo if a Pakistan boy stand by a refugee camp. You can see that the child is uncomfortable but doesn't look like much danger will come to him. Although if this was video media the lens would have been in the middle of the war zone then flash back at the young boy when they was saving him and make it portray as if the boy is always in harm's way.

Mental State vs Violent Media
Blog Post 3
Gerard Jones '' violent media is good for kids'' is just as the title states, because according to Jones it can help kids become more confident so kids can go through life unafraid of there desires and the world's disapproval of the things they may enjoy and love. Furthermore he also believed it can help with someone being less hesitant and more effective in time of action. For instance how the hulk gave Jones a inner confidence. Even an psychologist who is Melanie Moore who works with teens finds out
children need violent media in order to explore the inescapable feelings that they've been taught to deny, from the media , and parents so they can find a more resilient selfhood. However it's the parents job to explain to kids the importance of self-control and not causing harm to other people. For example July 20, 2012 in Aurora, Colorado a movie shooting took place during the batman movie, that claimed the lives of 12 people. The shooter was a man named James Holmes said he was ''the Joker'' a villain form the second film. With Holmes mental state in disarray, I can see that no one in his life was there for him mentally so that he can know the path he is following is dangerous. Though the pictures the news used you can see that Holmes was a little off in the head. If anything the media was being lenient to Holmes

portraying he in this light. Over all violent media can be help to kids when received correctly.

I'm right, your wrong, I'm big, your small
Blog post 2
I believe people argue to support their argument while at the same trying to get closer to the truth or persuade somebody to believe what they are saying is true.
With that being said if you want anyone to believe what you are saying. You will need some evidence to back up your opinion/hypothesis.Also there the ''Four Pillars of Argument''. Which is a four part body system.
Thesis statement: a single sentence that states your position on an issue.
Evidence: facts, observations, expert opinion, examples, statistics, that supports your thesis statement.
Refutation: disprove arguments that challenge your position
last but not least your Concluding Statement: this just reinforces your position, so if your going to a successful argument using these building blocks will help.
With the end of that we jump into what is an argument uhmmm....
I believe an argument is when two people have two different
position on a topic and both sides come with evidence and a refutation to counter the other opinion. If anyone would like to know, when i get into argument I like to gather concrete evidence if there's any or something close to it like a expert opinion, statistics things of that nature.
